In this show for all ages by screwball Belgian Miet Warlop, whose work is staged across Europe, two actor-controlled bears conjure emotions that make the tears flow: pain, cruelty, joy. But tears can also blend with laughter, becoming a source of renewal. The bears can be dismantled and operated from the inside – the living material of theatre crafted to stimulate the imagination. This piece marks a fresh milestone in the quest of a visual artist who likes to “make the invisible visible”.
