Online Workshop
The "Reimagining the art world: on transnational/postnational practices" workshop is an opportunity to reflect together on the possible transformations of the practices of our sector. For this, we will use an experimental tool: a set of cards inspired by a tarot deck and created by artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. This particular deck of tarot cards does not predict the future (although the session might indeed enhance some magic... :)), but helps reflect on the present situation and provides a more holistic vision of it. We will use the cards as a basis for discussion, to forge conversation and action in a way that is playful and that encourages responses from various perspectives. Come along to uncover ideas and practical ways to move forward in your own work to inform a fairer arts ecology.
This tool was developed in the framework of RESHAPE, a research and development, experimental project that is seeking to imagine alternative organisational models and practices for our sector in a bottom-up process. In the course of 2 years, 40 artists and art workers from all over Europe and southern Mediterranean worked together to develop prototypes of tools and instruments to inspire and support a positive transition for our sector. This workshop will present the results and experiment with one of the prototypes that were developed in this process, created by the group which, in the framework of RESHAPE, concentrated on Transnational/Postnational artistic practices. For more information on the work of this group, you can read the full text here. For more information on RESHAPE: http://reshape.network
The workshop will be facilitated by Pau Cata, a Barcelona-based curator and researcher and Petr Dlouhý, a Prague-based curator focusing on designing safe environments for interdisciplinary encounters and chilled-out coexistence.
The duration of the workshop is 2 hours, your presence being required for the entire duration. This workshop will be conducted in English and is open to a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
This session is proposed by Onda.
The RESHAPE project was funded with support from the European Commission.
In addition, we propose online sessions of one-on-one tarot readings with Petr Dlouhy: take 45 minutes to discover the tarot cards and how they can help you rethink your projects and your work. A very limited number of slots will be available:
