8 artists and 2 galleries create their event. One is French "Vrais Rêves" and the other is Austrian "Fotogalerie Wien". The decision was to bring together these two 40 year old galleries whose artistic lines are not very different and complementary. Michlmayr, artist of these two places is one of the curators.

"Vrais Rêves" is located in Lyon in the 4th arrondissement. It takes its name from the book "Vrais rêves, Histoires photographiques" published in 1976 by Duane Michals, an American photographer who revolutionised photography in the 1970s by including narrative sequences in his images. Born of a group of photographers who, in 1980, formed an association under the French law of 1901, she specialised in so-called plastic and research photography.
It is even a pioneer, according to Paris-Art. Rémy Mathieu explains to us that the photography is oriented towards the "social documentary". This is not the line taken by "Vrais Rêves": the artists exhibited in the gallery may have very different styles but what characterises them is that they all have a singular photographic style. On the occasion of each exhibition, "Vrais Rêves" publishes a catalogue and an informative journal entitled "Info-Rêves". The Gallery has been present in Arles, at the Hôtel du Musée since 1986 and sometimes internationally at fairs such as the MIA or Fotofever (Brussels). In 2019, on the eve of our 40th anniversary as a gallery, we met the managers of FOTOGALERIE WIEN. This gallery, which is the oldest in Vienna and Austria, invited us for a joint French-Austrian exhibition. The first part took place in April 22 in Wien. This September, the second part of this exchange is taking place in France, at VRAIS RÊVES.
