« CE(UX) QUI NOUS LIE » is a sensitive quest for the meaning of what connects us, makes us meet, love and leave each other. It is a relentless and infinite movement in which birth and death, questions and answers, beginnings soon to become endings get all mixed up. Everything becomes one because everything stems from the same living force, which trembles, quivers, hides and then rises and shines again. Proud, fragile yet resilient.
What started as a simple portrait gallery turned into a collaborative adventure which drew its essence from our intimate yet universal life experiences, before rearranging them and reshaping the project into an immersive experience where photography, writing, scenography, music, astrology and movement intersect.
"CE(UX) QUI NOUS LIE" invites the spectator to venture into the intimacy of 127 people who were interviewed and filmed by the artist (photographer and dancer) ÂMEHEUREUSE between April 2021 and September 2022. She asked each one of them the same questions, the very questions she had asked herself a thousand times before, and for which each one of the enterviewee gave authentically different answers. 127 photo portraits echoing 127 stars among the 12 constellations of the zodiac capture these interviews between ÂMEHEUREUSE and those who connects to her.
In numerology, 127=10=1. The unity of all things...
A giant iron structure, constructed by collaborating artiste MEH, will constitute the dome within which these photo portraits will be hung and connected by a red thread, symbolizing the invisible canvas that is weaved at each human encounter. 3 mirrors will be hung in the center to send the spectator back to his own canvas, the one that will have led him to this place....
A dancing performance by ÂMEHEUREUSE will activate the installation during the opening day.
Lyon based musician RAASLILA will provide a musical atmosphere for the installation which includes the recording of a poem written by ÂMEHEUREUSE.
CE(UX) QUI NOUS LIE - Immersive installation by ÂMEHEUREUSE, in collaboration with MEH and with the participation of RAASLILA.
