The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon is located in the heart of Lyon’s Presqu’île, within the magnificent setting of a 17th-century abbey and its cloister, now transformed into a sculpture garden. Remodelled several times during the 19th century, it is home to numerous sculptures set among flower beds and beneath the branches of its trees, ranging from casts of classical antiquities displayed in its niches to masterpieces by Auguste Rodin and Antoine Bourdelle, as well as contemporary installations such as Terra by Claudio Parmiggiani, buried within the garden.
