Located at the southern tip of Lyon, where the Rhône and Saône rivers meet, the Musée des Confluences opens up perspectives on the world. Inheriting the collections of former Lyon museums that have since closed, including the Musée Guimet and the Natural History Museum, the Musée des Confluences explores the origins of the universe, the living world and the history of humankind by bringing different scientific disciplines into dialogue. Unique among European museums, the Musée des Confluences invites everyone to experience a sense of wonder and to share in knowledge. It is the most visited museum in France after the major institutions in Paris.
