Exhibition organized with the support of the CNAP, as part of the Suite 2026 programme, in partnership with the Academy of Fine Arts.
This exhibition of paintings from various styles and periods explores the concept of the couple: lovers, friends, twins… Portraits of celebrities and ordinary people echo the series of paintings dedicated to the legendary New York gallery owners of the 1990s: Pat Hearn and Colin De Land, lovers in real life but each running their own gallery.
Working as a duo, living together, finding love, building a relationship… all attempts to live, maintain or build mutual love, but does mutual love even exist? Will it be thwarted, as in novels? Has it not become a mere marketing tool in the age of Tinder and reality TV?
