A choral narrative in which the body becomes sound and vibration. Premiered in Lyon, this captivating piece succeeds in bringing to life the dance of a fascinating choreographer.
Dalila Belaza, an artist associated with the Maison de la danse, has been forging her own path in the field of choreography for some thirty years. It is in the details of the movements that her art unfolds. Her dance is neither a means of seduction nor a factory churning out spectacular images; on the contrary, it is an ode to movement that is heard, felt and experienced.
For this new work, the choreographer explores the idea of chorality as a space where voices, bodies and collective presence weave together into a shared narrative, carried by the distant echoes of different cultures. A vibrating wave that spreads through bodies and space.
