The exhibition of Isabelle Monge-Roffarello’s project celebrates living memory, particularly through the photographs of Laurence Papoutchian. Our daily lives, our places, our habits, and our connections come together to form something unique: the identity of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune.
Heritage is not limited to monuments, historic buildings, or other architectural works.
In Tassin la Demi-Lune, we have chosen to honor our residentsb from the youngest to the oldest, from workers to students... We believe that living, contemporary memory constitutes an important legacy for future generations.
Thus, the (Extra)ordinaire project showcases Tassin la Demi-Lune’s living intangible heritage, directly aligning with a key theme of the 2026 European Heritage Days: “Heritage of Photography.”
(Extra)ordinaire tells the story of how what seems to us to be the banality of everyday life is intimately connected to the places we pass through, the habits we have, and the bonds we forge.
(Extra)ordinaire illustrates how our ordinary lives coexist and form a unique identity: that of Tassin la Demi-Lune and its residents.
