A group exhibition featuring resident and guest artists from the Le Cloître Art Contemporain gallery in Lyon. The group exhibition Ideal Illusion presents works closely linked to the concept of illusion. The artwork does not simply represent reality but transforms it, reinvents it, or gives the impression of its presence. Illusion refers to the ability to create an apparent truth. However, it is not intended to break free from reality, nor even to imitate it. It invites us to reflect on how we perceive the world. Whether emotional, symbolic, or considered a means of exploring the human condition, dreams, fears, and desires, does illusion allow us to access truth or a certain fiction? The ideal illusion is a constant source of inspiration for artists who draw upon it to represent the world. Understanding the ideal illusion means recognizing the fragile boundary between necessary dreaming and the escape, if not the confrontation, of reality.
