To mark its opening, Chalet du Parc launches Le laboratoire des créations écologiques et sociétales, its new artist residency programme, with Vahan Soghomonian. He will develop a sound-based artistic research project inspired by the forms of life that emerge, adapt and cooperate within Parc de la Tête d'Or.
Chalet du Parc opens in September 2026 with Le Laboratoire des créations écologiques et sociétales, an artist residency programme curated and led by Maison Gutenberg. Each year, three artists are invited to use the Chalet as a space for research, experimentation and creation around the ecological and societal transformations of our time.
As the first resident artist, Vahan Soghomonian will develop Jardin d’abandon, a project inspired by the forms of life that emerge, adapt and cooperate within Parc de la Tête d’Or. Through the capture of natural phenomena and stories collected from visitors, the artistic research will gradually take the form of a living, evolving sound ecosystem within the Chalet’s residency space.
The residency will open with a concert on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 6 pm. The studio will be open to the public every Wednesday afternoon, allowing visitors to follow the project as it develops. Workshops and mediation sessions will also be offered regularly. The residency will conclude with an exhibition presented for one month from 10 December 2026. The detailed programme will be available on Chalet du Parc’s website and social media.
