INSPIRED KANT BY JON FOSSE
What is the universe ? And what place do we hold within it ? This breathtaking journey across the stars beckons children to wander into the infinite, to dream, and to contemplate the great mysteries of existence. A sensory odyssey where art and technology intertwine, conjuring a world of magic, holograms, and poetry.
"I often think there is a giant out there in the universe. (…) And the giant sleeps, and the giant dreams. And I only exist within the giant's dream. But what if the giant were to wake?"
Steeped in rhythm and musicality, Jon Fosse's text plunges into the dizzying anxieties children face when confronted with the infinite, their own reality, and the origins of the world. Through a staging that weaves together light design, traditional optical illusions, and holographic technology, the audience is invited to become their own character — the better to reflect on their place between the infinitely vast and the infinitely small.
The performance is enriched by two immersive experiences, including one in virtual reality, allowing the audience to embody young Kristoffer as he confronts his doubts, suspended between dream and reality, science and magic.
