Manifesta, La Traversée offers a new way to experience contemporary art. Six galleries - local, regional, national and international - transform a unique, entirely underground venue into an exhibition of 6 solo shows bringing together diverse perspectives on contemporary creation.

The exhibition Manifesta, La Traversée unfolds within a space of circulation where artworks are gradually revealed along an underground journey. The venue forms a dense and structured environment, where its concrete architecture organises thresholds, rhythms, and movements.

In dialogue with the Biennale’s « Passer d’un rêve à l’autre », the exhibition explores passages between the visible and the invisible, as well as the relationships between the symbolic and economic dimensions of art. It brings together galleries and artists with distinct narratives: Michel Rein, Galerie RX/SLAG, Galerie Claire Gastaud, Ceysson & Bénétière, and Galerie Sophie Scheidecker, activating the coexistence of these different scenes within a shared space.

The works are grouped by artist and installed in distinct ensembles, shaping a parcours where the experience unfolds in sequences.
