A moment to relive the small gestures of kindness we can offer one another—a shared glance, a smile at the sight of a flower or a landscape. An experience born of long-standing relationships with artists who have opened the door to their poetic worlds for Pauline Lisowski.
Let’s take the time to observe, to look down at the ground and all around us, to linger before each little plant, admire its delicacy, its colors, its petals, and discover a world from which we still have much to learn. Let’s rekindle our desire to appreciate every living thing that sharpens our sensitivity. Let’s pause before wildflowers, minerals, and the sometimes minuscule elements whose colors and light catch our attention and spark curiosity. Let’s consider these fragments, these plant species, and these natural materials that bear witness to the passage of time and the cycle of the seasons.
This exhibition offers a moment to rediscover those small acts of kindness we can offer ourselves by sharing a glance or a smile in the presence of a flower or a landscape. It is also a space for experiencing the long-standing relationships forged with artists who have opened the door to their poetic worlds for me. I have come to appreciate their deep connections to certain landscapes, flowers, and scents, which they have helped me discover
