DX's work is part of an approach where research, experimentation and play meet. The artist develops an open practice, where the creative process occupies as important a place as the forms produced.
By diverting the uses of the 3D printer to create drawings, prints and paintings, DX mobilizes a highly technical tool that it puts at the service of an intuitive approach. The precision of the machine does not freeze the gesture, it becomes its extension, leaving room for the unexpected, the accident and a form of spontaneity.
Her practice also extends to sewing, weaving and drawing. These techniques, both elementary and complex, intertwine to form a sensitive visual language, where material, gesture and time are in constant dialogue. His universe summons recurring motifs, nature, trees, the forest as well as portraits. Investing in public space, the artist meets passers-by, integrating relationships and exchanges at the very heart of his work.
Through his works, DX questions the way in which the image represents us and participates in our construction. Composed of color, light and material, it becomes a space of experience, charged with emotions and memory. The thread, finally, runs through his entire practice. At the same time tool, motif and metaphor, it connects shapes, images and individuals.
It suggests that our reality itself is a fabric, made of links and interactions.
