Six performers explore the fantasies and sensual representations inherited from paintings, mythology, songs and literature. A joyful and emancipatory odyssey between dance, theater, plastic arts and music.
Is our relationship with desire shaped by the era we live in? Through workshops conducted with teenagers, Élise Chatauret and Thomas Pondevie discovered the gap between their own way of approaching their body and sensuality and the way younger generations conceive it. This gap opens the way to a deep questioning: what cultural models have we inherited to learn how to desire? Six perfomers explore with humor the fantasies and sensual representations in paintings, mythology, popular songs and literature, playfully deconstructing these imaginaries to reveal the injunctions passed on to us without us wanting it. Dance, theatre, visual arts and music intertwine, opening up the possibility of a dialogue between heritage and renewal. How can we understand what has shaped us in order to be more aware of what the youth invites us to transform ? A joyful and emancipatory odyssey that gives back to the desire its full emancipatory power.
