On the occasion of the Résonance program of the 18th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art, To pass from one dream to another, EX-SITU brings together Célia Coëtte and Margarita Wenzel for Seeping through, a cycle of performances conceived for Cour des Voraces and Galerie Philibert Delorme.
Extending the artists’ ongoing inquiry into the relationship between the individual and the collective, Seeping through explores states of vulnerability, the fragile architectures of endurance, and processes of repair. Through movement and voice, the performances engage audiences in shared experiences where unstable and relational temporalities unfold. By privileging uncertainty and experimentation over the logics of predictability and control, Coëtte and Wenzel bring forth forms of harmony that emerge not through uniformity, but through the recognition and preservation of singularity.
