As part of SPECTRES, this concert of electroacoustic, experimental and innovative music will engage with the specific acoustics of Espace Notre-Dame, through resonances, sound tapes, performative gestures and displaced modes of listening.
This concert brings together electroacoustic, experimental and innovative music within the singular acoustics of Espace Notre-Dame in Saint-Chamond. As a former deconsecrated church, the venue is not simply a setting for sound diffusion: it becomes a genuine listening partner, with its volumes, resonances, silences and propagation times.
The works and performances will explore different modes of sonic presence: tapes, electronic devices, instrumental gestures, recorded materials, projected sounds and spatial diffusion. The concert invites audiences to listen to music differently, not as a closed object, but as a situated experience transformed by architecture and by collective attention.
In dialogue with the contemporary art exhibition presented in the same space, the concert extends the questions raised by SPECTRES: apparition, memory, trace, persistence, the decomposition of sound and invisible presences. Music becomes a way of making perceptible what circulates, insists or still resonates within the venue.
