For his debut at the Maison de la danse, Munich-based choreographer Moritz Ostruschnjak presents Trailer Park, created with the nine captivating artists of the tanzmainz company. Viral internet videos – those memes that are now firmly embedded in our shared visual landscape – are extracted from the virtual world and reintroduced onto an empty stage where the analogue meets the digital.
On stage, dazzling tableaux take shape, where youthful virtuosity clashes with self-proclaimed weariness, questioning the place of physicality in the age of digitalisation. A collaborative work, Trailer Park perfectly captures the age of images in which we live and brings it to life on stage.
