The Cultural Center of Écully welcomes from September 18 to November 1, 2026 the exhibition Vestiges à venir by artist Manon OLLER and the association Sculpture Taille Directe. The guest artist presents her ceramic works alongside those of wood and stone by the association’s sculptors.
Trained in art history and archaeology, then in ceramic art at the European Institute of Ceramic Arts in Guebwiller, Manon OLLER develops a sculptural practice centered on the earth, considered as an archaic and contemporary material, bearer of memory.
Sculpture Taille Directe is an association from Écullo with more than 30 years of existence. With nearly 70 members, coming from all walks of life, experienced sculptors and new followers.
This year, a natural dialogue was established between the artist Manon Oller and the sculptors of the association. Where stone and wood are carved in the solid, Manon Oller works the earth around the void. This mirror effect in the approaches opens a reflection on how a sculpture is built between addition and subtraction, presence and absence. These are revelations, transitions, transmissions and discoveries, of "Passing from one dream to another".
