To mark its opening, the Chalet du Parc is hosting the special exhibition Vivre ensemble by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Hervé Le Bras, organised by the GoodPlanet Foundation.
For over thirty years, Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been photographing the people of France alongside those who are part of their everyday lives: loved ones, colleagues, family, neighbours and life partners. Through understated staging and portraits taken in a studio set up in all four corners of the country, the project gradually weaves together a vast collective portrait of contemporary France. Enriched by the insights of demographer and historian Hervé Le Bras, this work has given rise to Vivre Ensemble (Living Together), an exhibition that invites everyone to reflect on what unites us as much as what sets us apart.
To mark its opening, part of the exhibition will, exceptionally, extend beyond the walls of the Chalet into the Parc de la Tête d’Or. The exhibition then continues in a room dedicated to the theme of social engagement, featuring a screening of the making-of documentary for the film France, une histoire d’amour, directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot.
Following on from this highlight, the photographic studio designed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand will be set up at the Chalet on a one-off basis from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September, so that as many people as possible can experience this event.
The exhibition of the 180 prints from this photographic album can be seen in the Parc de la Tête d’Or from 18 September to 8 November 2026. The indoor exhibition runs until February 2027.
