Avec Bienvenue, la chorégraphe et danseuse suisse Eugénie Rebetez poursuit sa recherche sur la relation entre le dedans et le dehors, l’intime et le public. Dans ce solo, son personnage tragi-comique nettoie littéralement la scène.
For her third work, the dancer-choreographer becomes a cleaning lady, far removed from the divas of her earlier Gina and Encore. “The glitter has been swept into the bin, after the lights go down. Cleaning is about touching and taking care of objects, and, for some, it’s a living.” Alternating intensity and lightness, poetry and comedy, the ordinary and the surreal, Eugénie Rebetez creates an odd domestic scene of chaos and order.
