In a universe that blends the absurd, the strange and the childlike, Hilary Galbreaith weaves science-fiction stories in a wide variety of forms, including drawing, writing, video installation and performance. Buoyed by the lightness of her colourful, homemade aesthetic, she tackles fundamental societal issues like ecology, the capitalist economy and the role of technology. She sees creation as a means of exploring alternative voices.
