Biography

With a practice of sculpture and video installation, Manon de Boer explores the relationship between time and perception. Working primarily with 16 mm and 35 mm film, she develops works often centred on artists, dancers, and musicians, in which sound and listening occupy a central place. Her films establish sensitive spaces of relation between space, the gaze, and the presence of the filmed subject, navigating between distance and intimacy.
