Cour des Loges, A Radisson Collection Hotel

A true Renaissance gem, nestled in Lyon’s 5th arrondissement and emblematic of the city’s historic traboules, this heritage site becomes a new setting for contemporary creation.

With its majestic Florentine courtyard, suspended galleries and seven centuries of history, Cour des Loges resonates with the theme of this edition, To pass from one dream to another.

A place of passage, encounters and the circulation of ideas since the Renaissance, it extends the Biennale experience by inviting visitors to discover contemporary art in a space where heritage, memory and imagination enter into dialogue.

Displayed on the exterior façades, We Are Together Because… by artist Mikhail Karikis is a participatory project developed with hundreds of young people aged 10 to 25 around the world. It invites young people to express what brings us together in times of crisis and division.

Starting from the phrase “We Are Together Because…”, young people from Lyon explored ideas around solidarity and the imagination of a shared future. Visible on the façades of Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel and free to access, the work gives a voice and visibility to local youth while echoing some of the major contemporary questions at the heart of this edition of the Biennale, around connection and living together.
