25, rue des Granges,

Located in the heart of Thonon, at the edge of the district renovated by architect Maurice Novarina, the chapel of the former Visitation convent has been dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of contemporary art since 2008.
It is part of the Visitation Cultural Center, inaugurated in September 2018, and as such, benefited from a 100m² expansion of the chancel. The right-hand wall has been restored to its original opening, as it was from this room that the Visitation nuns followed the service, separate from the public.
Each year, the artistic program revolves around four exhibitions, both solo and group shows, allowing visitors to appreciate the diverse forms of contemporary creation. The chapel develops events tailored to each exhibition, fostering exchange, dialogue, and the intersection of artistic disciplines. It is one of the most visited art centers in France, attracting approximately 17,000 visitors annually.
