the Kashagan gallery presents a collective exhibition of five painters, Stéphane Pencréac'h, Marcos Carrasquer, Denis Laget, Jörg Langhans, and Julien Grenier.

Our era is that of the disappearance of the real, of fragmentation, of the isolation of the subject until its disappearance, its dissolution. Everything leads us to believe that the cycle in which we find ourselves is in full acceleration towards its end, and, more than ever, the continuation seems vague to us. The contemporary artist, if he wants to be honest, does not escape this decomposition. The mythological and the monumental, eroticism, the cult of the body, the collapse of the decor are superimposed, sometimes saturating the space or, on the contrary, allowing detail to be highlighted as a fragment of reality, a fractal. The artists all try in their own way to transcend the general aesthetic of decomposition, into an ethics of shock and renewal, where the imagination comes to regenerate the ruins, to make new humus.

OPENING HOURS: Free entry from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. and every day by appointment.
