A series of flags is made collectively during workshops led by Gaelle Loth. The productions are then presented in the partner structures, then during a parade which gathers the various actors (and flags!) involved.

The inhabitants accompanied by the artist Gaelle Loth invest the district Moncey, Voltaire and Guillotière in colors!

Designed collectively for and by the inhabitants with the artist during workshops set up with partner structures, dozens of flags! invest the district. The streets of the district are enhanced by these undulating shapes and textures.

To mark the commitment and the attachment to the values of living together, to salute the radiance of the district and its development, all the participants of the workshops, each carrying their flags, gather during a festive parade.

Vexille, flag, flame, standards, oriflamme, fanon, gonfalon are all terms that designate the rectangle of fabric whose origin goes back to prehistory. Representing a group, a community, a signal or a brand, the flag carries a message by displaying its many symbols and colors. It can also be festive, the colored flag decorates the streets during popular gatherings. But when a group accompanied by an artist seizes this floating object, what does it decide to represent?

No longer a symbol of a community but a poetic signal, the images adorn the neighborhood and accompany the daily life of the inhabitants by inviting themselves into the public space, in the open air.

Parade on Sunday, December 18.
