In the Atelier’s project space, Lamezz presents a domestic version of a greenhouse. This ecosystem houses plants and sculptures bathed in eerie artificial light.

"Conceived as an indoor counterpart to the monumental, light-based installation Ronde de nuit—presented at the Société Protectrice des Végétaux and visible from the public area near Les Grandes Loco, the Oulins venue for the Contemporary Art Biennale—the project by Simon Feydieu and Sébastien Schnyder in the Atelier Lamezz project space presents a domestic take on the greenhouse. This ecosystem houses plants and sculptures bathed in an uncanny artificial light. Replacing natural day and night cycles, this distinctive glow requires the eye to adjust. At the heart of the installation, clay and glass sculptures coexist in close proximity to the soil and living matter, sketching out the unsettling fiction of a bioluminescent hybrid realm where plant life itself has provided the nutrients needed for the mineral to grow."
