In resonance with the 2026 Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art, Claire Georgina Daudin and Marco Piras explore transitional landscapes and post-industrial territories between Oullins and Pierre-Bénite. Drawings, photographs and installations form a sensitive cartography of contemporary edges.

Persistence of the Edges is a project by Claire Georgina Daudin and Marco Piras developed in resonance with the 2026 Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art.

Based on a series of walks and investigations carried out between Oullins and Pierre-Bénite, the artists explore transitional landscapes, post-industrial territories and forms of memory embedded in architecture and everyday uses.

Their practices share an interest in fragile states of form and in processes of appearance and disappearance. Drawings, analogue photographs, sensitive mappings and installations made from collected materials create a constellation of forms that reveal the physical and symbolic resonances of the territory.

Presented at Atelier laMezz, at the heart of the area explored, the exhibition offers a fragmentary reading of the landscape, where memory, movement and transformation remain in constant tension.
