Biography
Working at the intersection of writing, painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture, Annette Messager develops an assemblage-based practice that brings together everyday objects, intimate memories, observations, and personal or collective narratives. Using memory as a vehicle for meaning, she explores themes such as desire, childhood, and death through a visual language shaped by humor, romanticism, and the absurd.
