Biography
Charles-Arthur Feuvrier Fok-Shan explores the imaginaries, narratives, and legacies that run through Mauritius, Réunion, and Rodrigues, working across a range of media from sculpture to video. Through imagined narratives in which visual forms intersect with a critical perspective, he bends and reimagines the myths that shape his native territory. His work examines the traces of the colonial past and the mechanisms of heritage-making at play within the Mascarene archipelago, shedding light on the tensions between memory, representation, and identity formation in this postcolonial context.
