Biography

Deeply affected by the recent history of conflict in the independent Republic of Artsakh between 2020 and 2022, Meri Karapetyan deconstructs the notion of frontiers with the aim of 'disarming' them and revealing what she considers to be their primary function, namely to define the indefinable. Her work experiments
with space, using a variety of materials such as rope, earth, copper, plaster and tar,
to give substantive shape to her emotional and expressive vision.
