Biography
Wilhelm Mundt uses waste and leftover materials from his studio, and occasionally personal objects, to create his works. Once these materials have been compacted, he covers them with multiple layers of resin, fibreglass, aluminium, or bronze, before painstakingly sanding and polishing their surfaces. Known as Trashstones, these sculptures explore the relationships between content and appearance, the visible and the invisible, recycling and valorisation.
