Atelier Sumo is a space for work, research and experimentation dedicated to contemporary artistic practices. Conceived as a collective space, it has been supporting the development of projects and research carried out by visual artists for the past twenty years.
Operating on a collegial basis, the studio is as much a place for creative production as it is a space for encounters and exchanges.
Through studio open days, exhibitions and guest programmes, it contributes to the circulation of artistic practices and the vitality of Lyon’s arts scene.
To mark its 20th anniversary, Atelier Sumo is continuing this momentum by inviting artists who have been part of its history and by forging new dialogues with other creative spaces.
