10, rue de Crimée,
69001 Lyon

Active for more than 18 years in Lyon, on the French and European scene, the gallery represents about fifteen painters, photographers, draftsmen, and sculptors, residents for the majority in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.

These artists, emerging or confirmed, have in common the will to place in their work the memory, the relation to the living, as well in its incarnated dimension as in its roots. This is what makes the line and gives soul to the gallery, animated by the desire to share and resist in the sense of a demanding art and yet accessible to all. By crossing and articulating the artistic disciplines Françoise Besson tends to share a humanist and progressive vision.

Committed to defending painting and drawing - without however excluding other contemporary plastic practices such as documentary photography, sculpture or video, the gallery organizes a dozen personal and collective exhibitions a year. Established in the historic district of Croix-Rousse in Lyon, it publishes since 2009, each year on the occasion of a flagship exhibition, a catalog : The Cahier de Crimée.

The gallery regularly participates in international and national contemporary art fairs such as Paris Photo, Art Paris, List Basel, Drawing Now, Start, etc.

It benefits from regular support from the CNAP, the French Institute and the Rhône-Alpes Region, and collaborates regularly with museums.
