Created in 2007 with a solo exhibition by Jean Raine, at 42 rue Burdeau in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon.
From the 1st years, the Henri Chartier gallery mixed works and artists of different generations or different movements with the presentation of historical artists such as Henri Michaux, Pol Bury, Pierre Alechinsky, Jean Raine, Bram Van Velde but also a young generation, Guillaume Lebelle, Thibault Hazelzet, Stéphane Guénier, Guillaume Treppoz, Sylvie Pic, Philippe Jusforgues, Caroline Demangel.
Installed since May 2017, at 3 rue Auguste Comte, a few steps from Place Bellecour, the gallery holds personal exhibitions of Benjamin Bruneau, Lionel Sabatté, Floris Dutoit, Sako Yachiyo, Henri Comby, Jorg Gessner, Marc Moret, Jean-Michel Comte, Dominique D'Acher, Blaise Adilon. By also inviting several curators such as Brother Marc Chauveau, Marion Bataillard, Thierry Raspail or Myriam Bucquoit and Bernard Crespin. Several publications and events outside the walls are also produced.
