In Montferrand, the Art Museum Roger-Quilliot (MARQ) is housed in a classic building steeped in history. In 1990, the architects Adrien Fainsilber and Claude Gaillard joined forces to transform the former Ursuline convent into a museum, infusing a contemporary spirit. The Fine Arts collections and temporary exhibitions showcase paintings, sculptures and decorative arts from the medieval period to the 20th century. There is also a diversified programme of events combining the visual and performing arts.
