The Ensba Lyon Post-Diploma Art Programme – Les heures creuses, 2026

At Les Grandes Locos, emerging artists Aneth Depoutot, Samuel Georgy, Gizem Karakaş, Jordan Madlon and Alexis Puget present work developed during Ensba Lyon’s 2026 Post-diplôme Art, a course coordinated by art critic, curator and professor Julie Portier. Their practices move across film, performance, writing, sculpture, painting, publishing and digital media, bringing emotional and social life into contact with language, memory, popular culture and the shifting landscapes of the internet. The exhibition gives public form to a year spent working alongside one another. Its place within the Biennale situates these five practices in a wider field of conversations, affinities and possible collaborations. Encounters gather around the works: between members of the group, other artists in the Biennale and those who spend time with the exhibition. Such relationships are among the less visible resources on which artistic lives depend.

Founded in 1999 as one of the first programmes designed to support early-career artists, Lyon’s postgraduate programme has served as a springboard for many French and international artists. It was successively coordinated by Jean-Pierre Rehm (1999–2012), François Piron (2012–2020), Oulimata Gueye (2021–2025), Julie Portier (2026).
