As part of GlassArt2026, Hotshop France opens the doors of France’s largest private hot glass studio to the public. Two days of discovery, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities offer a unique opportunity to explore the art of glassmaking techniques in the heart of the Monts du Lyonnais, alongside exceptional glass artists.
Located in Brussieu, in the Monts du Lyonnais region, Hotshop France is a non-profit organization based in the largest private hot glass studio in France. On the occasion of its Open Days, the workshop invites visitors to discover the fascinating world of molten glass through a rich programme of demonstrations, performances, and encounters with glassmakers.
Over two days, artists, designers, glassmakers, and emerging talents from glass schools will work alongside the furnaces, sharing their expertise and showcasing the many possibilities offered by this remarkable material. Technical demonstrations, artistic performances, and exchanges with creators will give visitors a unique insight into the skills, precision, and creativity involved in hot glassmaking.
Special attention will be given to younger visitors through hands-on activities designed for children. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, they will have the opportunity to experience the magic of glassblowing by creating their own Christmas ornament.
Friendly, welcoming, and open to all, this event offers a rare opportunity to step inside an exceptional workshop and meet the people who keep the art of glassmaking alive today.
Practical information: December 5–6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free admission.
