Between Two Dreams
I like drawing in the margins of notebooks, everywhere, all the time. I like painting too; when I paint, I paint a little of my dream. In my dream, there are countless dreams. We walk through life carrying our dreams. Our dreams are a bit like our
invisible world: memories, imagination, sorrows, comforts, all the things that others cannot see. Sometimes I try to
draw the mismatch between what's visible and what's invisible. I try to draw people's inner worlds. I try to draw
what people carry inside themselves, Sometimes I draw those inner worlds when they laugh inside, or when
everything blends together. Sometimes dreams intertwine when people meet. Sometimes there is anxiety, but for
it to be beautiful, it has to be a little funny. There are darker dreams that can be frightening, lighter dreams, and
some weigh heavily on our heads. At least nobody is alone. We're followed around by monsters, rabbits, birds
and all sorts of creatures, so we rarely get bored. The dream we carry with us may take the shape of a memory, a
person, an emotion, or our own selves. We all walk around with an invisible dream. We all move through
countless different dreams. Sometimes dreams get mixed together, and that's wonderful!. That's what I try to do
through drawing. There are dreams everywhere, just as there is magic everywhere. There is so much magic that
we forget when we stop paying attention to dreams.
I really like dreams!
