Mulïer is a piece of dance on stilts performed by five amazons who, in a tribute to all women, deliver a ballet featuring moments of unison and dazzling bursts of energy.

This show was born of a need to explore feminine identity and to unleash “the wild side of feminine nature that various civilisations have sought to domesticate throughout history”, says Catalan artistic director Joan Santacreu. In Mulïer, the female dancers perched on stilts play with notions of balance, power and height to evoke women, their energy, aspirations and struggles. The gestural density and precision, the sensitivity and sincerity of the dancers offer a sublime interpretation of the poetry and emotion so central to the company’s work.

Toute femme héberge dans son intérieur un être sauvage et libre, une nature instinctive.
