Sirag Sesetyan’s installation brings together several scales of use: those of visitors who pass through it, pause within it, or settle into it, and that of a stray dog, frozen in plaster, that seems to have made it its home. Raised to a height close to that of a seat, the platform organizes movement and viewpoints while revealing an interior space through openings created in its surface. Two embedded metal sculptures extend its geometry: their vertical lines connect different levels and establish a dialogue between what is made visible and what remains concealed. At the dog’s height, the screen prints and the soundscape – composed of ambient sounds and non-linguistic voices – impose a shift in perspective. It’s not quite possible not to think of you here thus maintains an ambiguity: intended for which body, which presence, which duration of occupation? An address without a fixed addressee, it leaves open the very possibility of a “you” to whom it might be addressed.

Sirag Sesetyan examines the relationships between architecture, archives, and archaeology, focusing on the power structures that shape them. Through video, sculpture, and drawing, he constructs spaces in which fragmentary traces take precedence over grand narratives, revealing the tensions and displacements that inform perceptions of history and territory. The media he employs are thus conceived as systems of translation, capable of generating new forms of narration and representation.
