Where to stay in Lyon

Due to the many events taking place in Lyon in September, we strongly recommend that you book your hotel room as soon as possible. We offer you a list of hotels located not far from theaters dans the Cité internationale de la Gastronomie, the new central location of the Biennale.
A preferential rate has been negotiated for professionals.
To benefit from this rate, please follow the indications of the pdf document below when booking for each hotel.

Coming to Lyon

🚆 Take the train

Main stations:

  • Lyon Part-Dieu train station
    Just a few tram or bus stops from the Cité internationale de la Gastronomie, where you'll find the Professional reception/ticket office and the Café danse.
    Take the T1 tram towards Halle Tony Garnier > Liberté stop + 10 min walk (Journey time: approx. 20/25 min)
    or
    Take the C3 bus from the Part Dieu Jules Favre stop towards Gare St Paul > Cordeliers stop + 8 min walk (Journey time: approximately 20/25 min)

  • Lyon Perrache train station
    Just a few metro stops from the Cité internationale de la Gastronomie, where you'll find the Professionnel-les reception/ticket office and the Café danse.
    Take the T1 tram towards Debourg > Debourg stop + 5min walk (Journey time: approx. 20min)

✈ Take the plane

To get to Lyon from the airport :
Lyon St Exupéry airport is about 30 minutes from Part-Dieu train station by Rhône-Express train.

🚐 With the Biennale’s shuttle bus

For the Focus dance shows, in the evening, we offer free shuttles to certain performances :

Tuesday 16th September :
At 8 p.m. from the Théâtre National Populaire, Villeurbanne (after the performance by Dalila Belaza) to go to the Maison de la danse (show by Christian Rizzo)

Friday 19th September :
At 8:15 p.m. from the Théâtre de la Croix-Rousse (after the performance by Aina Alegre - CCN de Grenoble & SYUDIO FICTIF)to go to the Théâtre du Point du Jour (show by Emmanuel Eggermont)

Reservation-free access.
