Leaning on the power of plants to develop our capacity to act—what does this mean? Are we being acted upon when we are inspired, and collectively, are we less curious ? During this discussion, we will attempt to understand the arboreal nature of our ways of working with trees to transform our habitability. The Artists will debate with a panel of guests (researchers, engineers, residents, etc.).

Discover an essential gesture of tree art: dressing a tree's roots before transplantation. Freely inspired by the Japanese kokedama, this workshop invites participants to prepare a young tree for its next journey.

Following the summer exhibition entitled "Henri Matisse dans l’aventure du tissu", the Doyenné art library invites Cecilia Paredes to examine the Master's work through the lens of photography, questioning the role of women, models, and fabrics. The photo series will explore the frontier between body camouflage and scenery.

From 17 to 20 November, the group exhibition Ghosted by… takes over the Théâtre de l'Elysée with artworks, performances, workshops, and conversations with artists and researchers, exploring the affective economies that shape artistic practices and art labour.

The Chain of Oaks accompanies young trees to their permanent planting sites across the Lyon metropolitan area. Carried by bicycle, public transport or on foot, these breathing companions travel without combustion engines. Each transplantation becomes a collective act of care and a moving work of tree art.

Between Fabric and Plant explores the connections between memory, migration, and textile materiality. Drawing on linen fabrics made in Ukraine by her family over a century ago, Eugenia Reznik reveals how matter retains traces of the plant, history, and displacement.

As part of the exhibition Holding water, a little longer, writer and screenwriter Charlotte Pons leads a creative writing workshop where participants draw on the artworks to explore imaginaries of water, the senses, and the natural world.

Photography, ecology, and postcolonial narratives converge in Juliette Suchel’s work. This lecture explores the relationships between plants, territory, and image, where vegetation becomes an active collaborator in the photographic process.

We are stepping into a small white-tiled room: an armchair, a rug, a lamp, a TV. A living room. Entering their home — but they are not there.

Loïc Bonche is exhibiting at L’Assaut de la menuiserie: his work, inspired by the concept of Umwelt, explores the boundaries between human and non-human perception. It engages in a dialogue with living things, using fishing and lures as aesthetic interfaces and conduits.
